IFS Learning Program · Mumbai & Online

Parts Work in Practice

An Experiential IFS Learning Journey

A 4-month professional development program for therapists and psychology students who want to deepen their understanding of Internal Family Systems. Rather than treating IFS purely as a modality to master, we take a slower, reflective, and community-centred approach — integrating theory with lived and clinical experience.

4-month journey · July–October 2026 · In-person (Mumbai) & online

About the Program

A slower, more reflective way to learn IFS

Parts Work in Practice is designed as a slower, more reflective, and community-oriented approach to learning Internal Family Systems. Our intent is to value curiosity, relational learning, therapist self-awareness, and practical integration alongside theory — not instead of it.

The program is built from three learning spaces that can be joined individually, in combination, or as a complete journey. Each space is designed to stand alone or deepen the others.

Three Learning Spaces

Each space stands alone, or deepens the others

One

IFS Foundations Workshop

An introductory, immersive 2-day workshop focused on understanding and applying the IFS model. Available in-person (Mumbai) or online.

Two

Peer Learning Circle

A collaborative book-reading and discussion space centred around Transcending Trauma by Dr. Frank Anderson. Seven sessions, in community.

Each participant presents two clinical cases.

  • Understanding the client’s parts
  • Mapping out the client’s system
  • Therapist’s part activation & blending
  • Relational dynamics between systems
  • Pacing, safety, and trust-building

Who Is It For

Therapists & final-year Master’s psychology students

No prior IFS experience required. This is for practitioners and students who want spaces that are:

Experiential first

Learning over memorisation.

Reflective

Alongside theory, not instead of it.

Self-aware

Therapist parts included.

Collaborative

Community-oriented learning.

Accessible

Without oversimplifying.

Integrative

Lived & clinical experience.

A note from the facilitators: This is not a certified IFS training. It’s a space offered by two therapists who integrate IFS deeply in their practice, shared through study, experience, and curiosity. Certificates are provided on completion of the whole program, and seats are kept limited for a more contained and reflective space.

Meet the Facilitators

Two therapists who live this work

Durva Bhatt

I’m a queer-affirmative, trauma-informed therapist in private practice in Mumbai. My work integrates parts-based approaches, relational awareness, and reflective practice. Through facilitating group spaces and circles, I aim to create environments where therapists can slow down, think together, and bridge the gap between theory and real-world practice.

Akshi Gadia

I’m a trauma therapist with experience in individual therapy with adults in a private clinic setup. My approach centres primarily on Internal Family Systems. Witnessing its impact on my clients and myself, I’ve come to be deeply passionate about this modality and I’m excited to share that with the group.
